For the blend, Dominican-grown Shade Grown Corojo is bound around a mix of Piloto Cubano, Criollo ’98 and a very aromatic Pele de Oro, then clad in a subtly spicy Ecuador Habano wrapper. The result is medium-full, thick with creamy flavours, pepper and a toasted wood note that lingers on the palate. Jochy’s top notch construction makes the La Galera Habano a slow, savoury and well balanced burn – and incredibly affordable. These are some of the Dominican’s finest tobaccos; that alone makes it a smoke worth trying.
