The California Cable Car line travels along California Street from Market Street to Van Ness Avenue – about four kilometers. Halfway down the precipitous hill you can just see the pagodas of Chinatown; the Bay Bridge is in the background, whilst in the foreground there’s the famous Van Ness, California and Market Street Cable Car. This is vintage San Franciscan charm.
